'I've made £4k on Vinted – here's the secret to raking in cash on the app'
A savvy Vinted seller, who has raked in more than £4,000 by selling her unwanted items online, has shared her top tips for others looking to do the same.
If your wardrobe is bursting at the seams with clothes you no longer wear or that don't fit, it might be time for a thorough clear out. One of the best ways to declutter while also making some extra cash is by selling these items online.
While eBay, Depop and Facebook Marketplace have long been popular platforms for selling unwanted items, Vinted has recently burst onto the scene and quickly become one of the most popular apps for this purpose. Seller Genevieve has done so well on the app that she's able to regularly organise her home, refresh her wardrobe, and earn money almost daily.
The mum and content creator, who loves a good bargain, often shares her best money-saving hacks on her TikTok page @genevieve. talks. Recently, one of her videos offering tips on how to get the most out of Vinted went viral, garnering over one million likes.
She recently made £184 on the clothing site and since starting to use Vinted, she has made a total of £4,662. Genevieve said: "Top three tips on selling on Vinted from someone who's made over £4,000 on there.
"Upload every day, if you've got a big pile like this [of unwanted items]. Upload two or three items every day - it keeps you at the top of the algorithm."
The thrifty mum also recommends using "the best packaging that there is on Vinted" which costs just 10p and comes in an attractive pink colour. The content creator suggested: "Take good quality pictures. Takes loads of pictures, inside, outside, tags, all of that stuff and in good light."
She stressed the importance of ensuring clothing items are not creased or "scrambled".
