"I've checked it out" - Journalist drops major Crystal Palace transfer update on £50m star

There is a slight chance that Crystal Palace could re-sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka on loan from Manchester United this summer, believes The Sun‘s Tom Barclay.

The right-back is currently being linked with a return to Selhurst Park and, while there could be a few obstacles, Barclay has not ruled out a temporary deal.

According to The Athletic, Palace are considering making a move to bring Wan-Bissaka back to the club.

The 24-year-old, who was born in Croydon and came through the ranks at Palace, joined United in a £50m deal back in 2019.

He has been a regular at Old Trafford since arriving, making over 25 appearances in all competitions this season, but there are now doubts surrounding his future with Erik ten Hag coming in.

Italian outlet Tuttosport (via Sport Witness) reported earlier this month that the Dutchman is already eyeing up Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries for that right-back position.

Barclay has told GIVEMESPORT that Wan-Bissaka rejoining Palace on loan is not impossible, but a lot depends on both the Eagles and the Red Devils.

Speaking to GMS, The Sun reporter said: “I have checked it out. I don’t know how likely this one’s actually going to happen because I think Wan-Bissaka’s wages are quite high. I think the best chance of it happening is a loan.

“He’s from Croydon; his parents live relatively local. I mean, I think it would make sense, but it depends on whether he’s in Man United’s plans, if the deal works for Palace and if he’d definitely be interested in coming back.”
