I tried this soft gel freezer pack to try and keep cool at night and I didn't stir once

With night temperatures still reaching a high of 29 degrees, trying to sleep at night has become unbearable, so I tried sleeping with a gel pack, and once you try it, you'll wonder why you've never thought of it before.

To make things better it's an item many households, especially if you're an avid sports fan or gym-goer, already have in their medical cupboard. A sport gel pack, usually used both hot and cold to help muscle injuries, turns out to be a 'godsend' when trying to stay cool at night.

After having a restless nights sleep on Sunday, tossing and turning trying to find one cool part of the bed, I was determined to have a full nights sleep on Monday. All you need to do is place the gel pack in your freezer for a couple of hours, or in the morning before you set-off to work so that it's ready as soon as you walk back through the door.

Then half an hour before you're ready to go to bed, place it under your bedding or pillow, giving you a cool, refreshing bed to get some sleep in. One thing that is a must is to use the cover that comes with the pack, or a towel to stop the pack from making your bedding wet as it defrosts.

Once I got into bed I used the pack behind my neck, as it wasn't too cold
