'I think he'll go to Man United' - Sky Sports reporter now drops big transfer claim

It is thought that United and Brentford are the leading contenders to land the star name free agent but a decision the Dane’s future is yet to be made.

Journalist Ben Jacobs recently revealed on The Done Deal Show (51:02) that Leicester City are also interested in the 111-time Denmark international and he is of the impression that Eriksen is refraining from committing his future before assessing the entirety of the interest.

Weighing on the debate Bridge has had his say and where he thinks the former Tottenham Hotspur ace will end up.

(7:38)”We’re still waiting of course on Christian Eriksen’s decision. Is it going to be Man United? Is it going to be Brentford? Personally, I think he’ll go to Man United.”

Erik ten Hag could certainly avail of the 30-year-old’s services as he could light up Old Trafford a dismal campaign for the Red Devils last term.

Dubbed a “superstar” by transfer insider Graeme Bailey he has contributed to 123 goals in the English top-flight and his recent displays in west London highlight he is showing no signs of slowing down.

Bruno Fernandes played in all but two of United’s Premier League games last season scoring ten goals and creating a further six but ten Hag will need other options at the no.10 with Europa League football also to contend with.

Paul Pogba has departed and with Eriksen ranking in the top 1% for assists and shot creating actions per 90 minutes (FBRef) among players in his position it would be quite the coup to recruit a player of his standards on a free.
