'I sold my house and took out a loan to get £10,000 breast surgery'

A mum sold her house and took out a loan so she could pay for a £10k breast reduction after being left in pain for nearly two decades.

Victoria Marsh, 33, had 34H breasts which she said left her in agony for 17 years. She became self-conscious about the way she looked in her wedding dress and was sick of not being able to wear 'anything nice' while suffering from shoulder and back pain.

The mum-of-two even had difficulty picking up her daughter, six, and her son, 11. Despite all this, she was told she "wasn't eligible" for breast reduction on the NHS.

Out of desperation to improve her quality of life, she forked out £10k for a four-hour operation which was funded by selling her house and taking out a £3k loan. Her breasts were reduced by five cup sizes to a 34C and she said it was the "best thing" she had done.

Victoria, a buyer, said: “I had to buy my wedding dress two sizes bigger to fit my boobs in. I felt so self-conscious. I didn’t want to be really booby.

“It’s really hard to pick the children up. I just want to feel nice. I constantly had strained muscles in my neck and infections in skin under boobs. I was constantly putting talc under there.

"Now I feel lighter. It’s been three weeks now and I feel great. The procedure was so worth it and my quality of life has improved a thousand times over."
