"I see...": Fabrizio Romano drops big Man Utd transfer claim, supporters will buzzing - opinion

Manchester United could be in for a new left-back, as Erik ten Hag is now considering a move for Argentine defender Nicolas Tagliafico.

That’s according to Fabrizio Romano, who spoke on The United Stand about a number of potential targets that Ajax could offer Manchester United.

He claimed: “I would keep an eye on Nicolas Tagliafico until the end of the market. Not just Man United, but for many clubs [he] could be an option because he is out of contract next summer. I see him leaving this summer so it could be an interesting opportunity.”

Luke Shaw’s Manchester United career has been tumultuous at best, as the full-back has struggled for fitness since signing for £27m back in 2014.

“He’s got lots of experience in the Champions League and on the international stage so I think it would be a smart signing”,
