I saw Manchester United midfielder do something only a player like him can do - he's fantastic

Switzerland head coach Murat Yakin hailed Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen after he starred in Denmark's 2-2 draw with his team on Tuesday night.

Eriksen, who has forced his way back into Erik ten Hag's thoughts at Old Trafford in recent weeks, scored one and created another as Denmark twice came from behind to earn a point in their latest UEFA Nations League outing.

After falling behind with 26 minutes on the clock, Denmark levelled proceedings just a minute later in St. Gallen when Eriksen took a quick free-kick, sending a perfectly weighted pass over the top of the Swiss defence for Gustav Isaksen to latch onto and finish.

Switzerland reclaimed the lead on the stroke of half-time via a penalty from Zeki Amdouni, who joined Benfica on loan from Burnley in the summer, before Eriksen brought Denmark level for a second time with 69 minutes played.

Eriksen was teed up by Pierre-Emile Højbjerg inside the penalty area and he turned the ball home from eight yards out, scoring his first goal for his country since their European Championship opener in June in the process.

And for Swiss boss Yakin, Eriksen did not put a foot wrong all evening.

"The pass Christian made when Denmark equalised at 1-1 can only come from a player with his qualities," he said. "It was just a super pass.

"He is a fantastic player who did not make a single wrong pass throughout the match."
