'I promise you' - Every word from Erik ten Hag's Man United post-match speech after Newcastle win

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag sent a rallying cry to the fans after his side beat Newcastle 3-2 in their final Premier League home match of the season.

The Reds entered tonight's game knowing they needed to beat Eddie Howe's team to stand any chance of finishing in the European qualification spots in the Premier League. Anthony Gordon equalised shortly after the restart but Amad's fierce strike put the Reds back ahead on 57 minutes. Substitute Rasmus Hojlund looked to have wrapped up the three points with six minutes remaining but a brilliant stoppage time goal from Lewis Hall ensured a nervy last few minutes.

"As you know, it wasn't an easy season, but one thing remained constant and that was the backing of you for the team. But this season is not over yet. First, we have to travel to Brighton where we go for three points and then we go to Wembley.

"And I promise you that those players will give everything to get that cup and bring it to Old Trafford. And we are sure you will be there supporting us.

"Thank you, you are the best supporters in the world." Following the speech, Wayne Rooney echoed Ten Hag's
