"I'm told" - Fabrizio Romano now drops Rashford future update at Manchester United

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford could be set to remain at Old Trafford due to the chances of a move to Paris Saint-Germain reducing, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

With Mauricio Pochettino on his way out of the French giants’ hot seat, that could result in interest in the winger being cooled.

Erik ten Hag was appointed as Manchester United’s new boss after the climax of last season and could look to make widespread changes to the squad he has inherited.

However, Romano has already told GIVEMESPORT that Rashford is likely to escape an Old Trafford cull as ten Hag will give the 24-year-old a chance to play his way into his plans.

It was revealed in March that the £54million-rated ace was considering his future after growing frustrated at a lack of game-time under then-interim manager Ralf Rangnick.

He has previously been linked with PSG, while La Liga giants Barcelona also expressed an interest as uncertainty grew over Rashford’s long-term future towards the end of the 2021/22 campaign.

While Rashford’s £200,000-per-week Manchester United contract is set to expire next summer, the Red Devils hold the option of extending the deal by another 12 months.

Romano understands Rashford could be denied a move to PSG due to an alteration in the dugout.

The transfer guru believes the Ligue 1 side’s interest stemmed from Pochettino being an admirer, so the Argentinian’s exit may prove crucial.
