'I’m not really sure' - Jude Bellingham in Erling Haaland admission ahead of Borussia Dortmund vs Man City

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham has admitted that he is not sure how the Bundesliga club stop their former star striker Erling Haaland.

The German outfit will come up against the prolific forward when they face off against his new team Manchester City in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Haaland, who signed for Pep Guardiola 's side in the summer in a £51million deal, scored a staggering 86 goals in just 89 appearances for Dortmund after arriving from RB Salzburg.

Since his move to the Etihad Stadium, Haaland has been in scintillating form - grabbing 12 goals in all competitions, including two hat-tricks against Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest.

When asked how Dortmund can stop the Norwegian star on Wednesday evening, Bellingham replied: "I’m not really sure how you stop him to be honest. We’ll have to find out tomorrow.

"He is a player with lot of quality and a lot of physical attributes that make him so dangerous.

"It’s not an individual task. It is something the team has to do collectively. If we stick together and try to do the right things it can be possible."

Bellingham also admitted that City have the ability to 'pick Dortmund apart', suggesting it will be a far tougher task than their opening 3-0 win over FC Copenhagen last week.

The 19-year-old added: "Everyone has got to pull together to make sure we are all on the same page, otherwise they’ll pick us apart because they have the quality. It is important we are all together."

City thrashed Sevilla 4-0 in their first game of the 2022/23 Champions League campaign last week, with Haaland scoring a brace in Spain.
