"I'm hearing" - Sky Sports reporter now drops worrying Harry Kane injury update at Tottenham

Tottenham striker Harry Kane left the Etihad Stadium “walking gingerly” according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.

Kane scored a dramatic last-gasp winner against the Premier League leaders but suffered a back problem in latter stages of the 3-2 victory, which could be a concern for Antonio Conte ahead of Wednesday’s trip Burnley.

It was an excellent all-round performance from Conte’s side and easily the best of his 13 Premier League games in charge of the club, but Saturday evening was all about Tottenham’s talisman.

Kane has generally struggled this season, with only five top-flight goals to his name ahead of the visit to Manchester, and just 15 in all competitions, six of which came in lesser opposition in the Europa Conference League.

But Kane gave the rest of European football a timely reminder that he’s still one of the best in the business, with two fine goals and the assist of the assist for Dejan Kulusevski’s opener.

He got the ball rolling with a sumptuous pass through for Heung Min Son, who squared for the Swede to stroke home his first goal in English football. Kane then swept home Spurs’ second before beating Kyle Walker late on to head home Kulusevski’s floated cross in added-time.

But while it was one Kane’s finest ever displays in a Tottenham shirt, it wasn’t the perfect evening as he took a knock to his back late on.

Alasdair Gold revealed that Kane was “limping heavily” when conducting his post-match interviews and Bridge reckons that his injury was still bothering him when he left the ground.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “Harry Kane was walking gingerly to the coach after the Manchester City game I’m hearing.”
