'I'm hearing' - Sky Sports journalist reveals worrying injury claim over one Tottenham star

Tottenham star Harry Kane was seen leaving the Etihad Stadium ‘walking gingerly’ on Saturday night, according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.

Spurs gained a crucial three points at the weekend as Antonio Conte’s side kept their top-four pursuit alive as the Lilywhites beat Manchester City at the Etihad in a 3-2 thriller.

Two goals from Kane, including a stunning 95th-minute winner, put an end to the north London club’s losing streak. This had seen their manager endure his worst run in more than 12 years, having suffered his third Premier League defeat in a row in the 2-0 loss to Wolves the previous weekend.

Tottenham remain in eighth place with 39 points, but they sit just seven points behind fourth-placed Manchester United with three games in hand.

Whilst Kane’s performance was outstanding, seeing him earn a man-of-the-match 8.5 SofaScore rating, it was not the perfect evening for the 28-year-old. Alasdair Gold revealed that Kane was “limping heavily” when conducting his post-match interviews, with the striker having hurt his back during the game.

Sky Sports reporter Bridge has since made a similar observation, as he told GiveMeSport: “Harry Kane was walking gingerly to the coach after the Manchester City game I’m hearing.”

Looking at the situation positively, neither Kane nor Conte were questioned about the back issue after the match. This could suggest that the striker was fine and that he will be available for the Lilywhites’ trip to Turf Moor on Wednesday night to take on Sean Dyche’s Burnley.
