'I'm a pundit and get the most stick off Manchester United fans - they're stuck in the past'

talkSPORT pundit Gabby Agbonlahor has criticised Manchester United fans after claiming that he receives 'the most stick' from them.

The 37-year-old made over 390 appearances in 13 years at Aston Villa before retiring in 2018. He has since worked as a radio pundit which sees him regularly discuss football on talkSPORT's breakfast show, hosted by former Sky Sports presenter Jeff Stelling and ex-United forward Alan Brazil.

Agbonlahor is not afraid to offer his honest opinion on stories across the footballing world, which naturally will include United. And he claims that his views on Erik ten Hag's side have led to him receiving huge criticism from some of United's fans, sharing his belief that they are 'still living in the past'.

"I get a lot of stick from fans just through working on the radio but when you're on the radio, you're allowed to be a bit more judgemental and opinionated," he said via Ladbrokes Fanzone.

"On TV, you don't really get much chance to speak; you're constantly being told you've got 15 seconds to fill, then you've got a break, then you've got to cut to commentary, or whatever. Whereas there's a lot more time to fill on radio, and because of my character, and the fact that I'm the kind of person who just says what they think, I end up getting stick.

"I'd say Manchester United fans are the worst for it. Their downfall since Sir Alex Ferguson left has been so dramatic, it's like their fans are still living in the past. And so when I'm on the radio, I try and explain to them that Manchester United
