'I'm a doctor - my patients say this £30 skin perfecting gel is better than prescription strength creams'

Beauty buffs suffering from adult acne have been reaching for for a 'miracle' product to clear up their breakouts without seeing a dermatologist. Those who have got their hands on the 'game changer' gel insist that it gets to work within as little as 'two to three' applications.

The product in question is Dr Sam's Flawless Neutralising Gel, which has gone viral on TikTok in recent months. The woman behind the brand, Dr Sam Bunting, launched the product, which costs £30 for 30ml tube, back in 2018 after noticing a rise in adults suffering from acne and blemish prone skin.

I got to chat with Dr Sam about why she created the product and why she loves it so much. She said: "The best way to tackle any skin problem is to target it at multiple points. I've seen in clinic that existing offerings are either too weak and don't do much or were really effective but dried the skin out too much and became prohibitive to use."

"I wanted to create something that was right in the middle," Dr Sam added. "I wanted to create something you can use in the morning and layer under makeup. Patients have actually told me it's better than prescription strength creams. It took a little while to get social traction but it's now our top-selling item."
