ITV I’m A Celebrity fans have praised Tulisa Contostavlos for being ‘real’ after she opened up about her relationship status in an honest camp chat. The ITV show was back on TV screens on Tuesday night for the third instalment of the 2024 series.
As the celebrities settled into life in camp, they started having honest conversations with each other. Relationships and sexuality was a reoccurring theme with GK Barry discussing how she came out to her parents, while Coleen Rooney revealed what the early days if her relationship with footballer Wayne were like.
But it was N-Dubz singer Tulisa’s honesty which got fans ‘emotional’. During a chat with Radio1 DJ Dean McCullough and Coronation Street star Alan Halsall about being single, Tulisa gave an insight into her dating life.

Replying to Dean’s comment about dating apps, Tulisa said: “No I’ve only done Raya. I’m not really a dater, even though I’ve been on there, I’ve never gone on an actual date with anyone on there… I’m proper guarded.” She then added: “I feel like I’m demi-sexual, I need to have a really close emotional bond with someone.”
She went on to say: “I’m a slow, slow burner, I’ve been celibate for over three years.” Dean quizzed her one what it was like being celibate, she said: “I’m not an overly sexualised person. For me, it’s all about the connection and the emotions that I feel with someone and then wanting to express them in that way.”
Fans took to X to praise Tulisa for being “down to earth” and discussing demisexuality. @willowstation19 said: “tulisa openly talking about being demisexual on im a celeb tonight was so refreshing!!literally never seen it
