I'm A Celebrity Sam Thompson's stern warning as Pete Wicks admits 'it was almost the end' in truth behind reunion

Pete Wicks has said it was 'almost the end' of both him and Sam Thompson as he shared the truth about their reunion on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here. There was an emotional moment before the final of the ITV reality show when the pair got to see each other for the first time in weeks.

Former The Only Way is Essex star Pete was able to head into camp and surprise Sam and give him words of encouragement to see him through to the end of his time in the jungle - which ended up being the very end of the series as two days later he was crowned King of the Jungle.

His winning moment meant that Sam and Pete were reunited on-screen once again as, after hosts Ant and Dec confirmed he'd received the most amount of public votes and he was given his crown by campmate Josie Gibson, the radio and podcast host headed across the show's iconic rope bridge where Pete was able to greet him.

But as the scenes unfolded on air, I'm A Celeb viewers rushed to comment on social media as they spotted Pete having to hold on to the bridge so not to topple over as he was given a bear hug by his energetic, and over-the-moon, pal.

Now, as they returned to work with a new epsidoe of their podcast, Staying Relevant, Pete has revealed the truth about that moment and how they were both given stern warnings. Pete told how, beforehand, they were both specifically not to jump on the bridge which is "rickety" and extremely "high up".

Speaking about the moment, Pete said: "What the funniest part of that is before you get a producer who will have said to Sam on the
