'I left my home in America for sunny destination – one simple difference blew my mind'
Every so often, people crave a change in their lifestyle, job or location.
Recently, one woman chose to leave the United States for life in Spain - an experience she describes as an adventure. Despite the many advantages, she confessed to experiencing a significant "culture shock" upon her arrival.
Lisa Morales Duke, who amassed a large TikTok following due to her travel content, sparked a lively discussion with a recent video. In the clip, which shows her strolling through deserted streets, she revealed: "Almost everything, including grocery stores, is closed on Sundays."

A third remarked: "I feel this is the way it's supposed to be." Meanwhile, another added: "Siesta time. Loved it! Took a few days to get used to it at first."
Many, including Lisa, agreed it's a fantastic concept. She even suggested the US "needs" more downtime like this too to help people relax.
For those unaware, the majority of shops in Spain shut their doors on Sundays. However, there are a few exceptions to keep in mind, such as some specialist stores in tourist zones and big shopping centres, which may open for restricted hours on Sundays.
By and large, Sunday is viewed as a day of rest for most businesses and residents throughout Spain. Additionally, the nation adheres to the traditional "siesta" breaks during which shops close over lunchtime.
