"I keep hearing..." – Journalist now drops surprise Man Utd update involving Lisandro Martinez

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag could use Lisandro Martinez in midfield if he misses out on signing Frenkie de Jong, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

The Old Trafford side recently secured the services of the centre-back from Ajax, but Jones reckons he could be a surprise alternative to De Jong.

The Red Devils have been chasing the midfielder’s signature throughout the summer, but Fabrizio Romano has stated that De Jong wants to remain at the Non Camp club, who are trying to push him out to help some of their financial problems.
