'I just don't get it' - Manchester United fans question Erik ten Hag decision vs Crystal Palace

Erik ten Hag has named his starting line-up for Manchester United's Carabao Cup third round clash with Crystal Palace at Old Trafford this evening, making a whole host of changes.

United, who last faced Palace in this competition in 2011, losing 2-1, will be aiming to build on Saturday's much-needed 1-0 victory over Burnley. Bruno Fernandes netted the only goal of the game to bring an end to the Reds' three-game losing run.

It means that Ten Hag will be determined to see his side record another positive result this evening and kick off the defence of their Carabao Cup crown with a bang. The Dutchman, as expected, has decided to make a handful of changes from the side that was victorious at Turf Moor 72 hours ago, making seven alterations in total.

Sofyan Amrabat, who looks set to be deployed as a full-back, Raphael Varane, Harry Maguire, Mason Mount, Facundo Pellistri, Anthony Martial and Alejandro Garnacho have come into the side, meaning Victor Lindelof, Jonny Evans, Sergio Reguilon, Scott McTominay, Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund have dropped out. Varane has been awarded the captain's armband in Fernandes' absence.

Meanwhile, the likes of Dan Gore and Donny van de Beek have been named among the substitutes. However, Lisandro Martinez and Kobbie Mainoo remain unavailable for selection through injury.
