Newcastle United supporters finally got a huge marquee signing in the January transfer window, beating Champions League chasing Arsenal to the signature of Bruno Guimaraes.

The Brazilian international has finally landed on Tyneside after having been a tad busy recently. He’s had the small matter of representing his country before travelling to take in his new surroundings.

Newcastle fans will be hoping they see their new man in action sooner rather than later, with a Premier League clash with Everton just around the corner.

Guimaraes’ latest Instagram post hints at a possible appearance on Tuesday, with a home reception on offer to the Brazilian.

The schedule has been kind to the Magpies and Guimaraes, meaning he could be in line to make a debut at the first possible opportunity.

Eddie Howe’s side host Everton on Tuesday, having the weekend off after being dumped out of the FA Cup in the last round.

This has allowed the Brazil international to represent his country and travel back to England, settle into his new surroundings and have some training sessions with his new teammates ahead of a huge game.

It’s a real relegation six pointer. If Newcastle can secure the victory, then they’ll put the pressure on Everton and sit just one point behind them in the league table so having their star signing available and ready is huge.
