'I have to say this' - Jurgen Klopp sends Sean Dyche message ahead of Liverpool trip to Burnley

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp believes Sean Dyche's ability to keep Burnley in the Premier League is equivalent to leading other clubs to the title.

The two longest-serving managers in the top flight cross swords once again on Sunday when the Reds travel to Turf Moor.

While Liverpool are still chasing leaders Manchester City, Burnley have slipped to the foot of the table, albeit with games in hand on the teams above them.

Klopp was given a rude awakening on his first trip to Turf Moor with a 2-0 defeat in August 2016, although his team have won all four subsequent visits.

And the Reds boss has once again voiced his admiration for the job done by Dyche under difficult circumstances.

"I don't think any other manager could have achieved what Sean achieved at Burnley, that's the truth," said Klopp.

"I was not here when they were relegated and came back, since I've been here they were in the Premier League. If you ask me, Burnley are always Premier League.

"It was one of the two or three places in the league where you think 'I'm not really looking forward to it', especially at the beginning.

"The first time we played there, I thought 'Oh my God'. Then you get more experience and learn more about it, you realise the battle around and on the touchline is part of the deal.

"But my respect couldn't be bigger, I have to say this. The resources they have in comparison to other countries are really, really good but in comparison with other Premier League clubs is obviously not that good.
