'I have nothing personal against KL Rahul': Venkatesh Prasad

Venkatesh Prasad has been questioning out-of-form KL Rahul's place in the team for the past few days and emerged as a staunch critic of the opening batter with his regular posts on social media. He even lashed out at the Indian team management for persisting with KL Rahul to partner Rohit Sharma at the top of the innings.Prasad on Sunday took to Twitter again to clear the air that there is nothing personal against Rahul and offered advice to play County cricket to get back into the form."A few people thinking i have something personal against KL Rahul. Infact it is the opposite. I wish well for him and playing him in such form was never going to enhance his confidence. For him to earn his place back in Test cricket, now that the domestic season has ended," Prasad tweeted.

"Rahul needs to play County cricket in England , score runs and earn his place back, much like Pujara did when he was dropped. Playing Test Cricket for the country and doing everything possible to get back in form will be the best answer. But will it be possible to skip the IPL?" he added.India captain Rohit Sharma also broke his silence on Sunday on Rahul and said that the batter needs to devise his own methods of scoring runs on slow turners."When you are playing on pitches like these, you need to find your methods of scoring runs," Rohit said about Rahul, whose sequence of scores in the last seven innings read 22, 23, 10, 2, 20, 17 and 1.Rahul also managed to keep his place in the Test team for the remaining two matches of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy as the selectors announced an unchanged squad following the six-wicket win over Australia in Delhi.
