'I have an incredible team' - ROKiT Venturi Racing’s Edoardo Mortara after exhilarating win at Marrakesh E-Prix
ROKiT Venturi Racing’s Edoardo Mortara secured his third race victory in Season 8 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship at an exhilarating Marrakesh E-Prix. A fourth podium in four races for the Swiss 35-year-old has propelled him to top of the drivers' championship. Mortara leapfrogged title contenders Stoffel Vandoorne (Mercedes-EQ) and Jean-Eric Vergne (DS-TECHEETAH) with victory in the searing heat in Marrakesh.

“I must admit after Free Practise 2, we had a lot of issues and I was not thinking we could turn this thing around,” he said. “But, I have an incredible team behind me and they managed to do an incredible job already in quali. Then during the race, they had a plan, they had a strategy, we executed it and it was perfect.
“You have the guys putting you under a lot of pressure. I was trying to be intelligent, trying to manage. There was a lot to manage today — tyres obviously, but also battery temperatures, energy.
