A man has unearthed what might just be the "cheapest beer in the world" – with change to spare from even a 50p coin.

The TikTok user, known as @louiecarabott, claims to have found a venue where you can bag "17 beers for the price of one".

These pints, he alleges, might be "the cheapest beers in the world," and at such prices, it seems only polite to partake.

With the cost of pints now comfortably breaching the £5 threshold back home, bargain hunters may want to consider Vietnam as their next destination. Charging a mere 40p per beer, it’s challenging to contest Louie's claim of having discovered the most reasonably priced brew globally.

In his video, which has caught viral attention, he indicates towards his drink saying: "I've got one here, it cost me 40p, so I thought why not buy two. Tastes pretty decent to be fair.

"You could literally have ten of them and not spend over £5. It's mad cheap. In London, you'd be paying £7 a beer, it's crazy. Out here, it's 40p. It's worth just getting the flight for the beer."

The cost of living in this corner of south east Asia seems incredible too. Louie said: "Cost of living out here in south east Asia is crazy. I've just had a bill it cost me £2, the room I'm staying in is costing me £10 a night, like, the motorbike I'm renting is £3 a day. I literally spend no money down here."

Endorsing his find, Louie added that procuring the same deal in the UK would cost "an arm and a leg".

Louie, who's been sampling the local brews in Vietnam, shared his amazement at the affordability of their "traditional beer" saying: "They sell it literally everywhere you go out here. Get yourself to Vietnam for the cheap beers."
