'I don't know' - Man City boss Pep Guardiola makes Bayern Munich admission ahead of Champions League tie

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has admitted that attention has already turned to Bayern Munich in the Champions League after seeing off Southampton on the south coast.

The German giants travel to Manchester this week ahead of Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final first leg under new management after Thomas Tuchel replaced Julian Nagelsmann during the international break. This change of coach has hardly helped Guardiola's preparations for the tie.

Bayern are also rejuvenated, three out of three under the former Chelsea boss, reasserting themselves atop the Bundesliga and reaching the semi-finals of the DFB-Pokal. City's task is to ensure that the final four of the German Cup is the only semi-finals they will be in this spring; first, Guardiola must work out how to approach this particular challenge.

Asked at the end of his post-match Sky Sports interview whether he would be watching Liverpool against Arsenal at Anfield tomorrow or the final day of The Masters in Augusta, Guardiola gave another answer entirely. "Bayern Munich. Now, Bayern Munich," he replied.

"Golf, for sure, but Bayern Munich (too)." The City boss has spoken at length before about his love for golf, once telling Sky he would do anything to have a half-decent golf swing.

Guardiola continued: "I don't know- new manager there. I didn't see one game, and I have to see, more or less, or figure out what we are going to do. So, happy to be there again.

"We start (work) after dinner in the coach, then we're going home in the plane. At home, we're going to start to watch something, yeah."
