I didn't speak to Erik ten Hag at all at Manchester United because I was so desperate to leave

Former Manchester United star Andreas Pereira says he did not speak to Erik ten Hag before his exit from the club.

Pereira completed a deal worth £8 million plus £2m in add-ons in the summer of 2022 to leave United to join Fulham. The deal also saw the Reds include a 20 per cent sell-on clause for any future sale, having agreed a four-year contract to move to Craven Cottage.

"In my head I was thinking 'I need to go, I need to feel confident and play' and that's what I did.
