Former Premier League striker Gabby Agbonlahor is certain Manchester United have found the correct man to lead them into a new era in Ruben Amorim.
MEN Sport revealed on Wednesday that United had settled a fee with Sporting CP, with all signs pointing towards Amorim's imminent appointment. No time has been wasted since Erik ten Hag's sacking at the start of the week.
The 39-year-old has then come out and explained his intention to speak freely on the matter, but only once his current club's Primera Liga match against Estrela has finished tonight. At the current moment in time, he is expected to move to England during the upcoming international break, with his first match in charge against Ipswich Town on November 24.
"I did do my coaching badges with him," was striker-turned-pundit Agbonlahor's latest talkSPORT revelation, before he went on to explain how closely he worked with the man expected to be named the next Man United boss.
"You did your own sessions because you had to pass the badges, but he was one of the ones that was there and you could tell he was so into in the way that he had to get his badges to then go and start managing.
"You put on a session, so my first session I did a crossing and finishing session, a keep-ball session and then a normal shooting session. You get all the other players, then there were some kids from Belfast from academies that came over, and we've done sessions with them. He was very focused."
And Agbonlahor would sign off with a vote of confidence all supporters of the club would have wanted to hear, as they hope the next man entrusted with the team is the one who finally ends 11 years of taking one step forward, then two more back.
