I casually confirmed I was single on ITV... but my life didn't go to plan
For over a decade, Ranvir Singh has been a familiar face on Good Morning Britain, starting as a political editor before taking the co-hosting reins alongside Kate Garraway and Susanna Reid. Now, she's showcasing her versatility with her quiz show Riddiculous and Scam Britain: How To Stay Safe.
The Preston-born presenter, who wowed audiences with her dance moves on Strictly Come Dancing in 2020, enjoys a long-term romantic relationship and shares an "incredible" bond with her son. Despite her high-profile career, Ranvir has kept her private life under wraps.
However, as OK! magazine reports, at 47, she's ready to open up more about her personal journey. In December, she spoke candidly for the first time about becoming a single mum during her pregnancy with Tushaan.
"I think you get to a point where you have the sort of life you thought you might have – but not everything has gone to plan, it never does for anybody – and you think, 'Well, what's the next tranche? What's the next part of the story that I'm going to tell about me? '" Ranvir reflects. She married her now ex-husband, Ranjeet Singh Dehal, in 2012 and welcomed their son Tushaan, who is now 12, reports the Mirror.
It was only a few years later that she "casually confirmed" her single status on ITV Breakfast, a fact she hadn't elaborated on until her recent chat on Kate Thornton's White Wine Question Time podcast.
"Some of that comes with a bit of soul-searching and a bit of meshing together all the bits of your life that have seemed quite separate. I don't mind being open when I feel secure and safe to talk about things. I think it's actually beneficial to share," Ranvir says. A break up during pregnancy must have been tough, but Ranvir wouldn't trade the bond
