Hythe upset Tonbridge in the FA Trophy on a day when Ramsgate hit nine at the top of Isthmian South East.

Steve Watt’s Cannons bridged a gap of two divisions and 46 places to beat National South Angels on penalties in a second-round tie at Reachfields.

The match went straight to spot-kick after a goalless 90 minutes, with Isthmian South East Hythe winning the shoot-out 3-1 to reach round three for the first time in their history.
