Husband's world 'fell apart in split second' when wife died after dog attack

A husband has told how his whole world fell apart 'in a split second' after finding his wife dead in bed three weeks after she was attacked by two dogs. On August 17, Marie Stevens was bitten multiple times on her arm by two Rottweilers, the Echo reports.

Tragically the 40-year-old was found dead at her home in Brighton-Le-Sands, Merseyside on September 3. The attack allegedly happened as Ms Stevens 'tried to stroke' the dogs, who were on a lead, on Park Lane West, in Netherton.

It was reported that the dog owners, a man and a woman, tried to stop the Rottweilers. Marie's husband Mark has since paid an emotional tribute to the woman who would 'make everyone laugh'.

Marie was given first aid until an ambulance arrived and took her to hospital where she was treated and later discharged. However, she was sadly found dead at her home address the morning after being discharged by her husband.

Mark, who met Marie on a blind date over 20 years ago, added: "From the minute I saw her, the rest was history. Before she died we were talking about spending more time together.

"My whole world has fallen apart in a split second. 21 years together, married for four, and that's it, gone. It's like restarting my life now. But I've got so
