Hull FC sign second player on immediate deal with St Helens youngster set to come in

Hull FC have signed a second player in St Helens outside back Josh Simm. The 21-year-old will become the Black and Whites' second immediate acquisition after Leeds fullback Jack Walker agreed terms on a loan deal with the club.

Out of contract on Merseyside, Simm has already been told by the league leaders that he can leave St Helens at the end of the season after falling behind the pecking order given Jon Bennison's recent form.

Hull are thought to have been one of the club's circling when the news was broke by Rugby League Live last month, with Simm set to provide some Super League experience for Hull who lost Cameron Scott to injury on Saturday afternoon, and who will see Josh Griffin likely promoted to the back row again.

Simm has played 15 games for St Helens since debuting in 2019. He has scored seven tries, including two against the Black and Whites back at the MKM Stadium in February.

Hull face Hull KR at the Magic Weekend this Sunday evening, with at least a dozen of their current first team squad either injured or suspended.
