Hull FC’s Joe Lovodua and winger Ryan Hall have both been nominated for the Super League player of the month award for April. The pair enjoyed hugely impressive months for their respective clubs and they have been recognised as one of six stand out performers across the competition.
They face fierce competition from Jonny Lomax, Jai Field, Josh Drinkwater and Danny Levi, who have all caught the eye in recent weeks. Super League are asking the fans to vote for the winner and details of how you can vote can be found below.
April didn’t get off to the best start for , as they lost to Hull KR on Good Friday, but three straight wins since, against Warrington Wolves, Catalans Dragons and Toulouse Olympique, have carried the Black and Whites up to fourth in the table. Lovodua was particularly impressive in the final two games of the month as FC churned out a result against Catalans before sweeping aside the top flight newcomers.
The utility player played in the halves in both games and claimed a try and an assist, setting up his compatriot Kane Evans, against Toulouse.
Hall, on the other hand, scored six tries throughout April, with braces coming against Warrington and Toulouse. He also touched down during dominant wins over Hull FC and Wakefield Trinity as the Robins notched up a six-match winning run.
The winger was one of Rovers’ most impressive during that streak and he now has eight tries for the season.
