Huge queues building on M62 towards Greater Manchester after crash

Huge queues are building on a stretch of the M62 towards Manchester this morning after a crash.

Three lanes are currently shut on the westbound carriageway near junction 24 for Huddersfield. According to National Highways, traffic is currently queueing for around four miles up to the scene.

Delays are building. A tweet posted by National Highways said: "The #M62 westbound between J25 (#Brighouse) and J24 (#Huddersfield), lanes 1, 2 and 3 (of 4) are closed due to a collision.

"There is currently approx. 4 miles of congestion on approach, causing delays of 30 minutes above usual journey times."
