Huge fire breaks out at Welsh hotel - live updates

Firefighters are battling a major hotel blaze. It has broken at the Queens Hotel in Blaenau Ffestiniog. Eyewitnesses have spoken how flames erupted through the roof as people rushed out of the hotel, according to North Wales Live.

A Traffic Wales statement read as follows: "Warning - police incident. A470 Church Street, Blaenau Ffestiniog is closed in both directions. Please avoid the area."

Traffic monitoring service Inrix writes on its website: "A470 Church Street in both directions closed due to building fire from Lord Street to A496 Benar Road."
