Huge fire breaks out at Llandovery during festival weekend - live updates
Firefighters are at the scene of a huge fire in Llandovery. The fire started at around 6.44am on Sunday, September 18 at an industrial property on Church Bank.
The cause of the fire is so far unknown. Locals reported hearing an "explosion" noise shortly before flames and smoke were seen high above the Carmarthenshire town.
It comes during the town's sheep festival. The event is still going ahead as planned, but the sheep dog trials have been cancelled.
Speaking at around 12pm, a spokesman for Mid and West Wales Fire Service said: "I can confirm we are still at attendance at a fire at an industrial property in Llandovery. We've had four fire engines and one water bowser and a number of fire officers as well. We are still fighting the fire. We were first on scene at 6.44am.
