Huge blow: Spurs now dealt injury setback ahead of Leicester, Conte will be fuming - opinion

Tottenham Hotspur have been dealt a fresh injury blow ahead of their Premier League meeting with Leicester City this afternoon.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference (via football.london), Antonio Conte revealed that Sergio Reguilon will now be unavailable for selection for the 14:00 kick-off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as the 25-year-old has picked up a groin injury.

The £53k-per-week defender has also helped his side keep six clean sheets, as well as making an average of 1.2 interceptions, 1.6 tackles, 1.6 clearances and winning 4.6 duels – at a success rate of 52% – per fixture.

These returns have seen the Spaniard average a SofaScore match rating of 6.91, ranking him as Conte’s 12th-best performer in the English top flight.

As such, considering that the 52-year-old’s only other natural option at left wing-back, Ryan Sessegnon, has also struggled for fitness this season, the unavailability of Reguilon for the Leicester game – and potentially further fixtures
