News of Jurgen Klopp extending his Anfield stay is the announcement all Liverpool fans were hoping to hear.
Answers provided by the German on his future in recent months appeared to indicate he was ready to call time on his career at the club in 2024, when his contract was due to expire, but the 54-year-old has now taken the decision to prolong his Reds tenure by a further two years to 2026.
Explaining what made him choose to remain on Merseyside past his expected departure date, Klopp explained his wife, Ulla, played an influential role.
