Manchester United meet Newcastle United this weekend for the first time since besting them in the Carabao Cup final.

First-half goals from Casemiro and Marcus Rashford saw United leave Wembley with the season's first piece of silverware. But Erik ten Hag may now have to travel to St James' Park without either.

The former is out after being shown a second straight red card of the season against Southampton last time out. Meanwhile, Rashford withdrew from international duty with England due to injury.

Those absences are ill-timed ahead of a potentially pivotal match in pursuit of Champions League qualification. Newcastle are three points behind United and would leapfrog Ten Hag's team with a win due to their superior goal difference.

Kick-off on Sunday is 4:30pm BST (11:30am ET).
