How to watch England U21 vs Spain U21 on TV as free to air deal finally agreed

England Under-21s’ European Championship final will be shown on TV after Channel 4 agreed a deal with UEFA to broadcast the match.

The tournament has not been available to watch on TV after no channel opted to secure the rights. Instead, each match has been streamed on UEFA’s website.

But the Young Lions’ final against Spain will be available on terrestrial television this Saturday, reports the Mirror. Lee Carsley’s side beat Israel 3-0 in Wednesday’s semi-final.

Head coach Carsley said: “I still think we’ve still got a lot of improving to do. There’s still another level for this team to go.

Channel 4’s Chief Content Officer Ian Katz said: “Channel 4 has brought a number of historic sporting moments to a free to air audience in recent years and we’re delighted that the nation will be able to watch England’s Under-21s as they attempt to make their own bit of history against Spain on Saturday.

”The Young Lions final will be part of a bumper weekend of sport on Channel 4 with live coverage of qualifying for the British GP earlier on Saturday and the Grand Prix itself on Sunday.”

Channel 4 already have the rights to England men's matches. Presenter Jules Breach is expected to lead Saturday’s coverage with kick off at 5pm with commentator Steve Bower also involved.
