How to vote for BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2023 online and by phone
The 2023 BBC Sports Personality of the Year is back for its 70th annual celebration. The iconic annual awards ceremony will celebrate a year of sporting talent, fronted by Gary Lineker, Clare Balding, Gabby Logan and Alex Scott.
It comes as we remember Manchester City's Treble. The club won the Premier League and FA Cup, rounding off the treble with their Champions League title win in Istanbul.
The show will broadcast live from BBC Sport's home, MediaCityUK in Salford, on Tuesday, 19 December, from 7pm. A shortlist of six contenders for Sports Personality of the Year have been announced.

Those shortlisted include Mary Earps, the 30-year-old Manchester United and England goalkeeper. The sports star helped the Lionesses reach the World Cup final in Australia in August.
Others on the shortlist include cricketer Stuart Broad, jockey Frankie Dettori, wheelchair tennis player Alfie Hewett, athlete Katarina Johnson-Thompson and golfer Rory McIlroy are the nominees.

Other awards to be announced include Young Sports Personality of the Year, Team and Coach of the Year, Unsung Hero and the Helen Rollason Award. The Lifetime Achievement and World Sport Star awards will also be presented.
