How to play the Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test beta on Steam

Valve has officially confirmed that Counter-Strike 2 will drop this summer. More than 20 years since the release of the first game of the series, and a decade since Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the hugely popular multiplayer first-person-shooter is back.

But for eager gamers, summer feels so far away. Luckily though, the first Counter Strike 2 beta is already live on Steam.

A select number of players have been given exclusive access to the game’s Limited Test, offering a taste of what the upcoming sequel has in store. The Limited Test beta opened on Tuesday (March 22), and offers Deathmatch and Unranked Competitive matchmaking on Dust2.

Additionally, future beta releases of the game will offer extra game modes, maps and features. Valve has confirmed that a limited number of players will be invited to the beta “based on a number of factors deemed important by the Counter-Strike 2 development team.”

These factors include “recent playtime on Valve official servers, trust factor, and Steam account standing.” So how do you know if you have been selected?
