How to get £33 BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend 2025 tickets as full line-up confirmed

BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend is making the trip up north to Liverpool this year. Sefton Park will play host to several huge music acts from Friday, May 23 through to Sunday, May 25 2025,, with over 34,500 General Admission tickets up for grabs each day.

BBC Radio 1 has already confirmed several of the headline acts who'll be playing on each of the days, with highlights including Sam Fender, Blossoms, AJ Tracey and Aitch. While some tickets are set to be given away on the live radio shows each morning, punters will be able to purchase tickets as they normally would from any gig via Ticketmaster.

In terms of pricing, each ticket will cost £33 per day plus a £.4.50 booking fee. BBC Radio 1 is also offering VIP tickets, although those will start at a much higher price of £95 per day, plus a £5.70 booking fee.

The idea behind Radio 1's Big Weekend is to bring a festival experience to a UK city that normally wouldn't see such treatment, and as such the ticket-buying experience is weighted massively in the favour of those with a Liverpool address. This makes the ticket buying experience a little complicated with different pots of tickets organised for different postcodes.

To try your luck grabbing tickets yourself, here's everything you need to know for the Big Weekend including how the ticket pots work:

Liverpool City Council Residents will have access to 50% off the ticket pool. They need to choose Pot 1 when buying a ticket.

Another 40% of tickets are available for those living in the following areas: Sefton, Halton, Wirral, Knowsley, St. Helens. Residents living here need to choose Pot 2.

The remaining 10% of tickets are available to the general public regardless of where they live. Any unsold tickets in the first two pots
