How Manchester United should line up vs Tottenham in Premier League fixture
Manchester United will be looking to get back to winning ways when they welcome Tottenham in the Premier League on Saturday evening. United are winless in their last three games in all competitions (D2 L1) – they’ve not gone longer without a win since a run of six games in September/October 2019.
The recent loss of form has seen Ralf Rangnick's side drop out of the top four in the league and they also know an improved performance is needed if they are to keep their hopes of Champions League qualification alive.
In terms of early team news, Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani should both return to action, but Luke Shaw and Scott McTominay are set to miss out.

Identifying Raphael Varane's partner is a thankless task. Harry Maguire has been a walking disaster this season, Victor Lindelof was worse at City, while Phil Jones and Eric Bailly have outstayed their welcome. Maguire gets the nod as United have never lost with him and Varane on the pitch. Diogo Dalot has to replace Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Nemanja Matic's expertise could be key against a resurgent Spurs, Paul Pogba was hooked too early at City and Bruno Fernandes' creativity is essential. The striker situation would have been as much of a conundrum as Varane's partner if Ronaldo wasn't fit.
Tyrone Marshall
Varane has to be the first name on the teamsheet after last weekend and ideally United would clone him. Picking a partner is difficult but however much it grates with some fans, Maguire was better than Lindelof last week and has the higher ceiling, so that partnership should be persevered with. There is a temptation to play a back three to match up against
