How Man United players responded to Manuel Ugarte transfer as Bruno Fernandes shows true colours

Manchester United stars Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho have welcomed new summer signing Manuel Ugarte on social media.

The Uruguayan signed a permanent deal for €50million (£42.3m), with a further €10m (£8.5m) in add-ons from French giants Paris Saint-Germain on deadline day. The MEN reported that Old Trafford chiefs were reluctant to match the asking price of a €60m (£50.6m) fixed fee.

In signing a five-year deal with the option of a further year, Ugarte became the sixth summer signing following the landmark deals which saw Noussair Mazraoui, Matthijs de Ligt and Joshua Zirkzee enter the fray at the Theatre of Dreams.

Following his announcement, three Instagram posts amassed over one million likes. New United teammates Marcus Rashford, Lisandro Martinez, Ramus Holjund and Diogo Dalot were among them to 'double-tap' and like images shared following the unveiling of the new midfielder.

Captain Fernandes showed his class as he commented: "Finalmente pa [grinning face with sweat emoji]," which translates to "finally man". International teammate and former United option Facundo Pellistri was also among commenters to emphasise their delight at the arrival.

Despite signing for Panathinaikos this month, the 22-year-old said: "Finally," with two heart-eyed emojis. While Garnacho added: "Vamoooos. Bienvenido," which translates to, "Come on. Welcome."
