How Man City should line up vs Liverpool FC in Premier League

Manchester City are looking to take a huge step towards the Premier League title with a positive result over Liverpool this afternoon.

City lead Liverpool by a point at the top of the Premier League with just eight games remaining. A win or draw would keep the Blues ahead of Liverpool for the run-in, and take the Reds' title chances out of their own hands.

Pep Guardiola will once again be without Ruben Dias, who remains sidelined with a hamstring injury. But Kyle Walker is available again after his suspension in the Champions League win over Atletico Madrid this week.

Phil Foden, Jack Grealish and Gabriel Jesus came off the bench against Atletico to change the game, and maybe in contention to start after playing less minutes than other teammates. For Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp confirmed he has a fully fit squad to pick from for their trip to the Etihad.

Of course, there are still tough choices to be made but with Ruben Dias ruled out, the defence is straightforward, as is the midfield, so that is eight easy choices.

The difficulty starts up front, and much of the revolves around how to get the most out of Phil Foden - he played false nine at Burnley last week, took up a right-wing berth as a sub against Atletico, and it would be no great surprise to see him on the left for Liverpool, just as he was to great effect at Anfield.
