How is ex-West Brom player Peter Odemwingie getting on these days?

Forward Peter Odemwingie started his career in Nigeria playing for Bendel Insurance FC.

During his time with the club he scored 19 goals in 53 appearances.

However after two years, he made the move to Belgian side La Louviere where he spent a further two years.

His next European move was to Lille where he scored 23 goals in 75 appearances across three years.

After his time in France, Soviet Union born Odemwingie headed to Russia to spend three years with Lokomotiv Moscow. During his time with the club he had a return of 21 goals in 75 games.

In 2010, Odemwingie first made his move to England when he joined West Brom on a two year contract with the option for an extra year.

His time at West Brom got off to a good start when he scored his first goal for the club on his Premier League debut in his side’s 1-0 win against Sunderland.

In his first season at West Brom he scored 15 goals in 32 games and became his side’s top goalscorer in a single season, the first West Brom player to score four consecutive goals in the Premier League and won two player of the month awards.

Due to his success, Odemwingie signed a new three year deal with his club. His second season with West Brom was another good one that saw him score 10 goals in 30 league appearances.

Ahead of the transfer window in his third season with West Brom, the club announced they had rejected a transfer request from the player which led the player to take to Twitter and lash out at the club for rejecting his move.

He famously turned up to QPR’s training ground on the final day of the transfer window as he wanted to sign but was refused entry because no official bid had been made for him.
