How is ex-AFC Bournemouth player Juan Iturbe getting on these days?

When AFC Bournemouth opted to swoop for Juan Iturbe in the 2016 January transfer window, they were hoping that the winger would play a major role in the quest to achieve safety in the Premier League.

The Cherries were looking to retain their top-flight status at the time of this signing and thus Eddie Howe decided to bolster his attacking options by signing Iturbe, Lewis Grabban and Benik Afobe.

Whilst Afobe went on to score four goals in the second half of the season, Iturbe failed to make a positive impression during his loan spell at the Vitality Stadium.

Limited to just two appearances in the top-flight, the winger was unable to overtake the likes of Max Gradel and Matt Ritchie in the pecking order at Bournemouth.

Iturbe returned to his parent-club AS Roma after the Cherries clinched a 16th place finish in the Premier League and has since gone to experience an interesting career.

Here, we have decided to take a look at how Iturbe has been getting on since making his departure from Bournemouth…

After his game-time was limited in the first half of the 2016/17 campaign, Iturbe was loaned out by Roma to Torino where he showed glimpses of his talent by providing four direct goal contributions in 17 appearances.

After another temporary stint away from I Giallorossi, Iturbe was signed by Tijuana on a permanent basis before being included in a swap deal in 2018 which saw him move to UNAM Pumas.

During his stint with the Mexican team, Iturbe managed to showcase his creativity as has scored 12 goals and provided nine assists in 93 appearances.

Iturbe left the club last year and sealed a switch to Greek outfit Aris.
