KEITH JACKSON: It’s a tricky one for the Belgian. With Oscar Cortes out for the foreseeable, Abdallah Sima out of action and Ross McCausland crocked too, Clement may have to consider a change of formation for the run-in.

CRAIG SWANN: The Belgian has found ways to mix and match since his appointment and no doubt he’ll have a plan to combat the absences.

ANDREW NEWPORT: It looks like he’s going to have to gamble on starting Cyriel Dessers and Fabio SIlva in the same team. That risks leaving him short on cover up front if one were to get injured but Clement doesn’t have much choice at this stage.

GRAEME YOUNG: The Belgian rediscovered the width Michael Beale purposely got rid of but, perhaps, a narrow way of thinking might be the tonic. And, in doing so, Fabio Silva and Cyriel Dessers could forge a double act which mitigates the loss of Abdallah Sima, Oscar Cortes, Todd Cantwell and now potentially Ross McCausland. The title chasers feel short at the top end of the pitch. Navigating this issue might be Clement’s biggest challenge yet

KEITH JACKSON: Probably not. Celtic’s midfield simply doesn’t tick the same way without him. Brendan Rodgers will be battering down the door of the medical room at Lennoxtown to get his captain back as quickly as possible.

CRAIG SWANN: Not on the evidence of Tynecastle. Paulo Bernardo and Tomoki Iwata are going to have to step up their levels or Reo Hatate will have to get back sharpish.

ANDREW NEWPORT: The Parkhead captain has had more than a few games this season where he’s not hit his usual lofty standards but everytime Celtic have performed to their peak, it’s been with McGregor running the show. They need him back fit - and quick.
