How Celtic and Rangers would split mega Champions League money pot if both teams make the group stage

One of the biggest storylines of the current season has been the carrot on offer for the Premiership champions.

Thanks to Scotland starting the season ranked 11th in the UEFA coefficient, the winners of the league were almost certain to be given an automatic Champions League place.

With the suspension of Russian sides that became even more likely, with the only way Celtic or Rangers could miss out being if the champions of that league are allowed to compete AND the winner of the this season's Champions League don't qualify via their domestic league - something that hasn't happened since 2012.

Based on this season's numbers, a total of €2bn (£1.7m) will be allocated to the clubs who make it
