How Bojan Miovski's record Aberdeen exit could see him become £30m striker and land Dons even MORE profit

Aberdeen will bank £6.8million from the sale of Bojan Miovski but Joe Lewis believes they will go on to land even more as he could become a £25-30m striker.

The North Macedonian flew to Spain to go through his medical and complete his move to Girona yesterday. Aberdeen will land a club-record fee to eclipse the sale of Calvin Ramsay to Liverpool. His former Aberdeen team-mate Lewis believes this move to La Liga is just the start and Miovski has all the tools to get goals at Girona and net a bigger move.

And Lewis said: “The thing about Bojan is he has a sell-on value. If he does well and scores goals in La Liga the next move could be £25 or £30m. He has all the attributes but he has to stay sharp and injury free. And that’s the one thing about Bojan, he’s always on the pitch. He was never injured at Aberdeen. His attitude when there has been a lot of uncertainty over his future has been first class. A lot of players in that situation, their head could go and they start to think, ‘What can I do to force this move?’

“But Bojan has just acted in an impeccable manner. He is 25 and has his prime years ahead of him. If he continues to develop like he has at Aberdeen there’s no reason why he can’t do well over there. He is also going to a good club who are part of the City Group. Financially they will keep going on and look to build on last season’s success.”

Mivoski got the chance to say an emotional farewell to the Aberdeen support after he came off the bench for a late cameo against St Mirren. Former Dons keeper Lewis added: “He deserved that send-off. The club also deserves a lot of credit for the way things have played out.

“Hopefully that will attract even more players to Aberdeen because they will see that as an example
